Electronic Drum Kit TT-12S
The TOURTECH TT-12S is the perfect entry point for new drummers to begin their experience of playing digital drums. This is the most simple and compact of the kits available and is perfect for bedrooms and small spaces.
The stand comes partially built out of the box so you’ll have your TT-12S up and running in no time! The stand holds all of the drum pads and cymbals: that means the snare, hi-hat, toms, crash cymbal and ride cymbal are fit onto this stand, otherwise known as a ‘rack’. The rack is more sturdy than other models in this price range and the pads feel dynamic and satisfying to play on.
There is a built in adjustable click track to play along with plus an Aux-in jack for device connectivity: jam along with your favourite mp3s via your phone or other device: you’ll get both your drum sounds plus your chosen track coming through your headphones.
With the TT-12S, you can set up anywhere, even a small space, and begin learning and playing drums with a kit that feels and sounds far superior to anything else in its price range.
The snare pad has ‘dual zone’ technology: there are two independent sensors within it to let you trigger both a full-on snare sound and a ‘rim’ sound, which simulates the technique of playing the edge of the snare drum rather than the centre. This feature is normally not available on kits of this price!
The module, or ‘brain’ unit is where all of the processing happens. The module for the TT-12S connects to the rack and has an easy to use front panel with a digital display to help you navigate the 200+ sounds on board. You get 20 preset drum kits included with options to make up 10 of your own.
The module lets you make adjustments for overall sensitivity, tempo of tracks, addition of a reverb effect and lots more.
Each kit is supplied with a robust stand upon which the drum pads, cymbal pads and module are connected. This is actually partially built right out of the box so attaching pads and connecting cables is simplicity itself.
TOURTECH kits all feature a library of sampled drum sounds that encompass realistic acoustic kits sounds and a variety of famous drum machine sounds. You can change the entire sound of the kit at the touch of a button and also record your performance into the brain unit of models like the TT-12S so you can listen back and gauge how much you are improving!
All TOURTECH kits have MIDI and USB functionality. This means that every TOURTECH kit can be easily connected to a computer to record performances directly onto your recording software. Doing this is a simple and easy way for any drummer to record a high quality stereo drum performance. MIDI also lets you connect additional pieces of technology and hardware available separately. This means you can expand your equipment as your technique and experience grows.
